#35 spring workout Ray Ray - Is this real?

Bruh Jakai Clark was All-ACC First Team Center. Of course our guru’s developed him though. I haven’t heard his name in the draft talks but I haven’t heard anything about the kid we pulled out the portal last season either.

Jordan Miller spent last season on the practice squad with Denver. I highly doubt he would have had enough film from Miami to get that opportunity.

Salute 🫡 to them soldiers that kept grinding
I don’t like to be the guy to talk **** about players to prove a point. They’re certainly achieving a lot in life

I just can’t stand stupid dramatic takes on this board based on emotion and nothing else

Nah. @DMoney posted a thread with all sorts of data about how a lot of NFL WRs had 40 times that we'd likely consider underwhelming. Not digging that post up but its somewhere if you're inclined to search for it.
Dmoney has posted misleading statistics before, but I dont know year that supposed data was from. Here are the top 15 in receiving yards from 2024 for you.

1. Chase 4.38
2. Jefferson 4.43
3. Thomas Jr. 4.33
4. London 4.5
5. St Brown 4.51
6. Jeudy 4.46
7. Nabers 4.35
8. Lamb 4.51
9. Mcconkey 4.39
10. Njiba 4.48
11. Wilson 4.39
12. Mcclaurin 4.35
13. Sutton 4.54
14. Brown 4.49
15. Adams 4.56

The average being 4.44. In this day and age speed is near the top for WR attributes. 16th would have been Flowers with 4.42 so you don't think I stopped at 15 to fit a narritive.

The point is you can be a great nfl receiver even if you don't run a 4.4.. speed itself isnt a prerequiste to NFL success.
No, **** sherlock. No single physical attribute equates to NFL success. The actual point is speed is near the top and running a 4.6 in 2024 equates to keeping your resume updated. Scroll up for details.

Well DUH Ain’t too many WRs running 4.6s to begin with anyway Sherlock. sub 4.5 is considered “fast” and you listed numerous players running 4.5 or lower who aren’t considered “speed” guys. Guys like Amon ra and Davante would prolly still be successful if they ran 4.58 because they possess other elite WR traits.

They are the exception, the rule is sub 4.5. I strongly believe you are too stupid to comprehend that portion. I guess focusing on the outliers is the best way to present a strong argument.

Ray Ray's practice drill vids tell me nothing about how he's going to perform in the Fall. He looks a little stiff and to be carrying some bad weight still. But an injury will do that to most of us. He needs to work through it. The only thing this whole conversation has reaffirmed for me is the need for playoff ready WRs from the portal.

It's not just Ray Ray's recovery that has me worried. The numbers are just not there. Even if Daniels, Ray Ray and Chance were full speed, which they're not, we don't have the numbers. As it is, we have Jojo, Carr and the 3 true freshmen who are healthy. I mean, wtf?! No wonder we hear nothing about Luke Nickel. Kid is throwing to the janitor Beard just pulled from the nearest school building.

Also, what is the deal with Carr. Is he another walking wounded? Because I have heard and read absolutely nothing about that kid this camp so far. And given how thin we are at WR, that's a huge red flag. I've been on these boards since just after everyone moved from Grassy to Canestime and Canesport 25 years ago or so. And every time someone hypes a true freshman, it's almost a dead giveaway that the upperclassmen are not good enough. So either Carr is being held out for health/off-field reasons, or he is underperforming. In either case, that's a real problem

Go out and get some WRs that can actually play.

Maybe you’re too stupid to understand your own argument. You said sub 4.5 is the barometer for NFL success at WR and proceeded to post a top 15 list w/ numerous guys running 4.5 or slower and I’m the stupid one 🙄
