How do you balance finding sleepers vs just winning bigger time recruitments? Obviously someone like X is awesome, (favorite player) but if we continue to win you wouldn't necessarily be wanting to look for the diamonds in the rough? Idk there's a grey line here, but curious your guys thoughts.

Id think it comes down to their evaluations, what we might think is a diamond in the rough might be higher on their board and vice versa, a high ranked kid could be lower on their board.

So really just comes down to trusting the staff ( not that we have a choice) in their evaluations etc..

What's up with this young man and Miami?

I am friends with his QB's mother and she said would like to play for Miami. When asked if he would commit if offered and she said yes. She also communicated that he is a great student and an all around great kid. No character or personality issues whatsoever.
Hate to lose out on a local talent however I trust the staff.
(Full disclosure: I asked if I could post this information on this board she said yes. )

yea man i heard his name in south florida circles....and it was from coaches in dade n broward who usually wont show love willingly to a palm beach kid. They were calling him the goods and that was BEFORE the szn.

I would think our wr board would be opening up with the toney decommit (i think we still will be on him) but say The Bama kid jumps ship and this film checks out it won be the worst thing to recruit this one

I really wish we would recruit this kid. I was at their game few weeks back and saw him walk by my car after the game. He has pretty good height on him.
