Tampa to Lakeland has been gator territory for long time. Baseball is huge in the Tampa Bay area. Lots of local kids in the major league.

Get up on the plate. He can’t consistently work in. He flies open…change and fastballs are almost all outer half. Start using RCF. Lefties..it may hurt if he hits you with 97 but get on the plate too. Make him have to work middle in.

Zone is pretty big too. Home plate ump must have a flight to catch. But it’s both ways so far.

Tampa is a hot bed of baseball talent. We have and have had a bunch of guys in the MLB. Caglione was a big kid in HS but not very refined.

His coach doesn’t push kids to any particular school and he is a kid that would have been open to heading to a school not named UF.

Why UM doesn’t recruit Tampa hard is beyond me.
