It would be big if we could. Then you could come through the toughest part of the schedule at .500 in ACC play by merely avoiding getting swept the next two weeks. It’s a big ask, but there might be light at the end of the tunnel if the next couple weeks aren’t an oncoming train.

Gage Zhiel's pitch placement last night was reminiscent of Greb Maddux out there. But Maddux never threw 93+mph. If Zhiel throws like that every night, he can win 20 games a year in the show.

He’s still boom-bust. He can power it out at any given moment, but he also has a near 40% K rate. He has done a better job getting on base this year, and I don’t have a problem with him DHing, but you couldn’t bench Jacoby after the last two, particularly given his defensive value.

Long needs to be the starter in CF regardless of his bat. The argument from @Zbrod95 for Carrier to start over Long is just silly. They don't play the same position and there is no other player on the roster with Long's speed and defensive ability in the outfield.

Carrier has been a disappointment. His bat looks slow. He strikes out way too much and is a liability in the OF. He's best at DH when he's hitting well.
