that's just wrong and idiotic statement. richt has a history of top 10 classes. I saw a story just yesterday where he is one of 4 coaches with most top 10 classes last 10 yrs, only saban and meyer had les miles were in that group with him. richt knows how to close.

when Miami wins 11 games next year or 10 and florida is lucky to win 7 stuff with start to turn in Miami's favor. richt is a better coach then mcelwain and we all know it. this staff can close u can't hold last year against them as had a month to recruit and this year have closed pretty well when u add in Herbert, most likely Harley and Thomas, even if miss on Henderson and Edwards and Devonta smith that's still a good close.

Shut up. This is a very good class with our without these two. Only reason everyone cares so much is because they are the last two options still in play.

That's not true. The fact is FL slow played Edwards and still came down and took 4 out of our top 5 DB targets. That's the problem all 4 in our back yard going to 1 team, we didn't get beat by others like Clemson and Bama we got beat by FL and only FL. It's embarrassing

It's going to take more than a 9-4 season to start keeping these kids at home. Miami was a dumpster fire for 12 years and ever since these kids can remember. It's amazing how quickly everyone forgets that. The play on the field and the feelings in the community need to change, before Miami starts winning all these battles.

Also we just took Herbert from them so everyone needs to stop crying. Richt and Rumph will find a grad transfer or another plug and play guy and we will be fine! I will agree though that it is amazing how much Miami has struggled to land top flight DB over the years.

I agree but we are also missing on the MiD tier kids who can contribute in some way. The fact that we have almost no speed is alarming

Not that UF's harping on Rumph's 1 year of experience is all that dirty, but what are the things UM coaches are saying about UF to pursuade these kids? It's been said a million times on this board that McEltooth and staff will be fired at the end of the year (unless of course they win big). I'm more interested in what CMR, who has been around the block with this stuff, is saying or authorizing his coaches to say about UF. I don't believe for a second that UM doesn't negatively recruit.

And yet he's about to land outside the Top 10 despite having the first-year recruiting bump here. With miss after miss on widely coveted talent from our own backyard, especially at DB. What's happening now matters more than what happened in the past at a different school.

Calling this class a failure is a shame. We address a lot of needs on our team and stack some depth. We didn't land the final we all thought but we will still snag Thomas, Harley and Dean. Perfectly fine class for me and if CJ or Brian want to join then that makes it a cherry or two extra on top. Y'all need to relax. Bunch of little school girls crying and complaining no matter what the outcome is

IMO he would not be choosing UF solely based on the Rumph stuff, but it appears that is the narrative UF coaches are pushing at this point.

Calling BS on the narrative or the idea of even floating it as a reason. We're making **** up now. As said earlier, Rumph didn't just show up yesterday . . . highly decorated college DB, NFL player and did a helluva job coaching up Miami corners last fall. Stop buying or pitching nonsense.

Pretty much this. I'm not optimistic about the recruiting class, but I'm still willing to wait and see if it improves tomorrow.

Everyone needs to leave this board for the next hour or so lol. Trending to UF means absolutely nothing. Pete made it clear no decision has been made. CJ probably just got done taking with UF coaches and Miami will get its fair shot in.
