I actually think Mister Dean would be a good fit for Coach Lucas.
Coach Lucas had one of the tallest rosters in the nation at Duke, which helped them defensively, which is the focus of Coach Lucas.
Miami struggled on the defensive end this season, which will be fixed by Coach Lucas.
Mister Dean has the size at 6'6, length and athleticism to play good defense at a high major level.
If he can improve his jump shot, which he has good form but he needs to shot at 1K jump shots per day outside of 15 feet all summer to improve his jump shot.
Mister Dean will have 3 years of eligibility left which would give him time to develop under Coach Jai Lucas.
I would expect Miami to have at least 10 open scholarships available so using 1 for Mister Dean would not be bad given how he fits the direction of the team.
Depending on who stays, I fully expect Coach Jai Lucas to add 5 grad transfer seniors for sure with the other 5 scholarships being determined by who becomes available in the portal.
With that being said, if given the opportunity, Mister Dean is a good fit for Miami under Coach Jai Lucas.
