25-26 Transfers

Would imagine we will be involved here. Believe we were in his final 2-3 a few years back when he initially chose IU. He was committed to UF so i'm sure they will make a run.
Yeah couldn’t remember how close we came on that one but remembered his name from his high school recruitment.

He is getting a lot of positive reviews by many of the so-called basketball gurus in the internet, especially after his postseason performances. Makes one wonder how he ended up in a Div2 school.
Likely grades.

A lot of HS athletes from Palm Beach have really sh*tty grades.

Good points.
Which raises question I've had in the past about smaller Div1 and Div2 schools becoming what JUCO traditionally been known for, taking on players with subpar HS grades.

Elijah was a qualifier. A late bloomer who went under the radar. Hard to get looks when you only play locally. Played on non-shoe sponsored team for AAU and high school ball at Wellington High, which isn't really known for basketball. Also, hit a growth spurt late in high school.

For whatever reason, Palm Beach basketball prospects don't get the kind of attention they probably would somewhere else. Over the years, there have been a number of kids from that county who have had to take the long road to stardom.

I thought that was a done deal since Mike Woodson said this was his last season.
I feel confident in saying Malik Reneau will be starting at the 4 for Miami in 2025-26.
In recruiting, nothing's a done deal until it happens. I'm with ya though, I too believe he'll be at Miami once it's all said and done. I can't imagine him saying "NO" to Moran, his former trainer & travel ball coach.

So my initial thought was “how the **** was someone named conference DPOY on a team that finished in the 360s nationally in DRTG.” Not many full games on YouTube, but looks like they may pressure 94 feet for the full 48, so lot of steals, but also lot of track meets if I had to guess. He’s small (which I’m pretty over at the guard position), and the shot is….I’ll say ugly, to be generous. Maybe a nice change of pace guy to come in and cause some defensive havoc but I’m not seeing this one at a very quick watch in terms of a high minute guy.
