This is a great post cause you right but also there’s a lot of nuance involved because a lot of highly respected nfl decision makers don’t even believe a first round pick is necessary to have a good draft if you’re not picking in the first 12 or so picks. I follow Chris Ballard being that I’m a colts fan and he believe there’s only ever a handful of guys who you have to have in any first round and almost none of them are worth trading up for. The last guy to him you knew you had to go get if you had the chance was Myles Garrett or someone of that natureThat "32 5* every year because there are 32 NFL 1st round picks" never made sense to me. I don't think there is any NFL team that has 32 1st round grades on players, most teams seem to have about 20, some more, some less depending on the year. They should just stick to their grading process whether they have 10 or 50 Five stars. Seeing how kids turn out will help you tweak your scouting to make you better and more accurate in the future.
