I can say this now, we won't ever win a Natty again until our juniors who can be drafted say top 100 picks or so decide to come back for senior seasons. For some reason our juniors love to bounce early to get drafted in the 3-7th rounds.

Ohio State had players like Traveon Henderson, Emeka Ebuka, Jack Sawyer, and J.T, all come back, and could've gone top 100 picks last year. In fact their entire DL were seniors, and I think would have all gotten drafted had they left last year.

What in the world has shown you that Mark Fletcher is ready for the NFL yet? He is a good player, but he still needs to improve, and get better. He has a fumbling problem first. He needs to shore that up. If he makes a big leap then can discuss leaving early.

Rueben Bain has to figure out his position, what weight he is going to play at, and ball out.

Anyone see how unbelievable Abdul Carter and Jack Sawyer were off the edge this year? Bain has a LOOOONG way to go to get to that level. Maybe 3T is his position.

I am not sure about leaving early, but I would think:

Carsen Beck
Francis Mauigoa
Markel Bell

would be our early picks for top 100 players.

Watch list would be:

Rueben Bain
Mark Fletcher
Anez Cooper
David Blay

I agree with your points here, however you can't compare our juniors leaving early to O$U's juniors staying.
They all had something to come back for, beyond development.
Our Juniors haven't had anything to come back for in a long time. Development or championships.

I understand the point as Ohio State is good year in and year out, but this past year specifically they had just lost to Michigan again, lost in ugly fashion in the bowl game to Missouri, had major questions at QB as Kyle McCord had portaled out, and Devin Brown didn't look good in bowl game before injury. Will Howard hadn't committed yet, so there was some uncertainty.

I’d love to see Mauigoa be the first non-QB off the board

Kid took a pretty significant step forward last year

Be curious to see if he gets looks at LT

Bain will have a tough decision to make. If he’s not a first round lock, he’d be foolish to turn pro. NIL needs to win out with him. Long term he probably would make more money staying, barring he goes gang busters next year.
