Last year I was looking at taking the family to see the Bananas at Marlins Park and you have to get on a waiting list for the waiting list, lol. Had no idea they were that popular.

Yup super popular. I went to the marlins park and one that they did at a smaller minor league stadium. The smaller stadium experience was wayyyy better.

Bananas is fun 1 time.

I really liked when they had the team in the Coastal Plains league. Super competitive and the kids were still doing everything they do now it just wasnt a financial gain. I appreciated those kids letting their guard down, acting a bit goofy but playing really good summer ball. And they won a lot.

I just cant see this new Banana ball having the juice to last long term. But the all you can eat/drink tickets in Savannah are clutch.

BTW...Clemson played the Bananas. I have to give Clemson credit. They came up with Dances, Bakich went out for the pre-game weigh in. They went all in.

First pitch times are now available for all but the first game at FIU. The Friday night games at Wake Forest and home vs Georgia Tech have been moved to 8pm.

So, a 9 - 16 seed needing to win the tourney to get an auto bid now needs to win 5 straight, instead of 4, over 6 days! Don't see that ever happening.

Yep, because if you're the 9-16, most likely your pitching depth isn't where it needs to be to begin with.

Kind of an interesting format to see play out for first time to the extent that the lower seeds have a modest advantage in rounds 2 and 3 with games under their belt, before swinging dramatically to the bye and double bye seeds when the weekend rolls around.
The top seeds that survive should be sitting pretty. Could see it leading to a nasty blowout or two in the semis and final.
