Let the cleansing begin..
From today's roster only 7-8 players wanted back in the fall. Expecting Schlesinger and Gage to be gone to the draft.
Start the exit meetings on Monday morning.
Laz, Cooper and Anderson should be let go on Monday. Go get Morales as your recruiter.
JD needs to take over the staff and hire someone to assist him...if not next year at this time he will be looking for work.

He did. He hired Cooper, Fenster, and John Travolta. The problem isn’t the assistants.

He’ll get another year according to some “insiders” I know. I would love to see his end of year interview with Rad streamed on miamihurricanes.com though.

Of the 11 double eligibles, I doubt any return (except for Dorian if he isn't drafted). Maybe Caba, as he sounds somewhat loyal to JD for letting him stick it out thru surgery.

The rest should sign or find their next team.

I'd add Walters to that list too if he isn't drafted. He also has the benefit of being a year younger than Caba if he goes late. Approaching 23, I have to think Caba is in go pro if it all possible mode.

My bad - I missed Walters. He could be the closer next year. Although, he might be one of those players that's perpetually injured.

2 big names hitting the portal...stay tuned
 
It's kind of telling about where the baseball program is at this point in history. The worst season since 1957 and its Wednesday following the conclusion of the season. No one from the staff has been let go. I am assuming they are waiting for A&& Rod to speak up. Maybe they are including Manny Machado in on the decision. He was going to sign with UM before he was taken in the draft. He is an expert according to UM's hiring process.

Where is Alex and Joey at? Maybe fixing the cameras behind the center field wall? Maybe bring Highsmith in as a special advisor. There was a thread about coaching vs talent. While talent is important, coaching surpasses it. Countless times this year, I have seen hitters drive the ball the other way against our shift. Bunting, base running, pitch calling, and much more can beat talent any day. Hence our losing season.
 
I believe the administration is waiting on Yelich and Correa to give their opinion on who needs to hit the portal and be fired. Data driven decisions are nonsense. I would also call former Mayor Diaz and Brad Kelly.
