2025 revenue sharing and Title IX

This makes no sense if NIL is coming from individuals for athletes name, image and likeness. The company/individuals who are providing money for NIL are presumably doing so because they feel the athlete”s NIL has a specific value. This is a free market decision made by a private entity and should not fall under the purview of the DOE. NIL, if done correctly, should not have anything to do with education, and should be arm’s length away from the university.
This is for the universities' revenue sharing deals.

Ok, this one I don't understand. Why would nil be tax exempt?
This is so stupid and could only be brought in a state like Alabama. NIL is income. And even if the state makes it tax free, the federal government, which imposes a much greater tax, will not. And should not. Everyone earning income should pay their share of taxes.

They are just asking for state income tax to be waived, not federal. State of AL pays state income tax but no idea why they think college athletes should not pay it.

Only 1 reason why Gawja and Bama would do this and that's because Florida and Texas don't have a state income tax. If you want to keep getting child's from those states then you better keep the playing field even!!
