Yes, Miami has done a good job of recruiting top recruits from other parts of the country over the last few years. At the same time, we've had some ugly misses as well with some of the OOS signees. Now, imagine how much more success the program/team would have if we had kept guys like Devin Carter (Doral HS), RJ Luis (Columbus), Jamal Mashburn, Jr. (Gulliver Prep), Jizzle James (Olympia HS - Orlando), Riley Kugel (Dr. Phillips), etc.? And that's just the tip of the ice berg. I could go on and on with guys over the last 10+ years (since Coach L has been at Miami) that became NBA pros that we completely missed out on. This short list are only some of the players from the last 2-3 classes. All guys who Miami either didn't recruit at all, or barely did so. I don't think anyone is saying Miami should stop recruiting nationally. However, I do think we could've done a better job of keeping some of the local talent home.

We have discussed Luis in years past. I remember asking why you guys never kicked the tires on him. I respected the reply, looks like Rick has him (for the most part) in check.

Worst thing he did this year was kick a basketball in to the stands out of frustration. LMAO. He didn't even wait for Rick to pull him, expeditiously sat that *** down, and got reamed.

Watched their game earlier this week against Providence. RJ looked good. The Spain action Providence threw at them was giving them fits. Your big man (Ejiofor) is the one guy I'd love to have at Miami. Dude is a beast.

The DUNK is a tough place to play. I'm happy we left with a dub. Was nice to see them handle the adversity of being down on the road in a hostile environment. A month ago, we gave up an 18 point lead at the half to Georgia. Lost by one on a buzzer beating three to baylor in triple OT. Both games were in the Bahamas, so it wasn't really "hostile" like a Big East season game... Nonetheless, nice to see us learn from that.

What's wild about Zuby is he was RAW when he first arrived in Queens. Rick got him out of the portal from Kansas. He spelled soriano last season, but has taken his game to a whole new dimension this season. Gonna have tp throw a big bag to keep him in Queens, because I don't know how his game translates to the next level. He may very well make more money in NCAA.

Our roster is littered with a bunch of studs that will make their living in Europe - most likely.

A few have the talent to play in the league - RJ definitely being one of them
