The ones that start at 5 stars drop to 4, you know how it works. Our guys only move up if they decommit to go elsewhere.

Yea, but if Emory and Judd can manage to move up then sky is the limit for Luke.
 
Figured now is a good time for an update as we approach Dennis Smith's 10 grams of madness...

Miami currently sits at #10 in the 247 Composite rankings, with 244.56 points. This comes from 17 commitments with an average ranking of 90.88.

Playing around with the class calculator, I added a few kids who seem to either be high potential or are trending our way and are looking like they might commit relatively soon.

Adding Iose Epenesa, DJ Pickett, Jaboree Antoine, Daylyn Upshaw, and Jarquez Carter jumps the number to 277.79, which would be good currently for 4th overall in the country.

There has been much discussion about class size...I don't really ever get into that because the numbers always work themselves out and if elite players want in, they'll get in, but adding those 5 would put us at 22 commits with loads of talent still on the board (Dallas Wilson possible flip, Ben Hanks, Cortez Smith, Trey Brown, Jaime Ffrench, Bryce Fitzgerald, a 2nd other RB possibly, and many others).

I still think 300 is out of the question unless we process out some of the low 3-star kids and add some serious whales we don't seem to be in play for, but a Top 5 class is certainly still within reason.

Checking the calculator with the possibilities of the flips DMoney has been talking about. I have no idea how accurate this is, but I'll go down the list with the most to least likely:

Adding TJ Alford gets us to 270
Adding Ben Hanks gets us to 275
Adding Jarquez Carter gets us to 276
Adding DJ Pickett gets us to 284
Adding Dallas Wilson gets us to 290

290, crazy as it is, still only gets us to #7 in the country. 6 teams are currently at 295 or higher. So, I think the absolute ceiling for this class is probably 7th. Likely finish somewhere around 9th or 10th. Floor somewhere around 13th.

Two wildcards here are Wiley's final ranking and the secret visitors.

  • Wiley. Wiley seems to be skyrocketing up the rankings. Will be interesting to see what his final ranking is. Assuming he's a 4*, what does that do for the total?
  • Secret Visitors. Flo said Mario is a recruiting bandit. I suspect there are names that D$ and Flo aren't mentioning as flip candidates so the school's won't have a chance to prevent the flip. 👇🏾

I want to believe flo but he seems to do this all the time and then we never hear about it again.IMO all these youtube guys are hyping our close to get views.

I don’t think ppl realize how elite the top 5 schools are recruiting right now.

Wiley is a name we can plug into the calculator though and see the results.

I do wish we could get a list from the insiders after the season of the secret visitors and see who they actually were. We do know that Dylan Stewart last year secretly visited a couple times and Hill the year before that. Would seem that Mario has absolutely locked things down and the leaks aren't happening this cycle.

Just shows that rankings really don’t mean a lot. I mean if Mario pulls the unthinkable and somehow lands all those guys, it’s easily Mario’s best class at Miami and maybe in the conversation for our best class ever. Even if we land half those guys it’s an extremely strong class in my eyes
