with the secondary talent influx, the new DC, and if we get a starting caliber LB, and a top WR in the spring portal then I believe we're a better overall team than we were this year even without Cam, X, Rivers, Martinez, etc.

now our schedule his coming year is harder, and we don't know about Hetherman yet - but I do feel like it's 10 wins and an ACC title or bust

Fitzgerald is playing cb and Wallace isn’t a cb. There is no or with Richard and O’Connor. Richard probably won’t play in 25 and O’Connor is way better. They ain’t paying O’Connor to be on the bench and I think Lucas could end up at safety. Brown might be gone after spring I doubt he sticks around to be a backup

You’re sunshine pumping the hèll out of that WR room. It’s a C- room at best.

Is there talent? Sure. But we literally have an entire WR room that had less than 1000 total receiving yards last year.

The same goes for the LB room. Not as bad as WR room but def not a B room. I’d be shocked if Hetherman doesn’t go out and get a guy.

I hope that Hayes shows out in spring. He is a freak at MLB and could be a huge key to the D IMO. Popo and Pruitt have talent, hope they step up big this year. We'll have to see how they look in spring.

The WR and LB rooms scare me the most due to lack of demonstrated productivity - would really like to add at least 1 impact player in both of those units. If they don't add players there we better be really good at developing. Would also take a starting caliber safety.

Bottomline - our young pups are growing up, we need to start showing dividends.

Thanks OP. Mario failed to complete his roster this past season and look where it got us....

On paper, team has lots of upside potential but lacks depth and in experience in certain areas. My thoughts on must haves post Spring:
* The OL starting 5 is top level. Behind you have yet to prove it guys. Think we need One more OL.
* DL on paper is solid but lacks experience besides Blay and Moten. Need One more BIG DUDE!
* LB aside from Wes has no other starter, maybe Popo has a couple of starts. Need ONE ILB
* CJ Daniels is the only WR with starting experience. We Need ONE WR
*RB see above WR. Fletcher has the experience and no one else. Need ONE RB, preferably plus 210lbs

We're close here and arguably the best roster Mario has put together on paper. The schedule is also tougher.

Let's win the ACC and get into the playoffs! Has to be the goal in 2025!

Go Canes!!

Lmao
No team in America has guys with major starting experience on the bench anymore, they just portal. Lyle got plenty of carries as the 3rd back who was a true freshman RB behind a 1k runner and another 600 plus rusher with 9 TDs. Oline, you really need 1- 2 guys you can trust to play okay if a guy goes down. We have Rodriquez with starting experience and other highly capable, massive humans going into their 3rd seasons here. If 1-2 of them can’t step in if needed, Mario and Mirabal failed coaching them up. At WR, we failed by not getting these youngsters any snaps knowing we would lose 3 WRs for sure possibly 4 if Horton went pro (didn’t think he would transfer). Eventually you’ll have to play guys or they leave. Guys who will now be upper classmen and have been in your S&C and system for years.
