I don’t know much about the upcoming schedule but given two choices how would yall like to see our non confernde schedule set up ?

A. With several marquee opponents/a strong non conf tourney

B. A softer schedule to give the team a chance to gel against weaker competition before conference play

Been thinking about this for a while and I say give me option A.

I think B.

Reasoning is this: Unless we make some major splashes in the portal, bigger than the ones we've made so far, I don't think we'll be that deep in talent in next year's roster. We might have a solid starting 5 with 1 or 2 alphas, but after that, the guys that will fill in the rest of the roster may be good enough to help us be middle of the road ACC knocking on the door of the top, but that's being optimistic. Not to say there won't be potential from the 8th man on the roster down to the end, but it may not be ready for primetime quite yet.

I think Jai is going to have to get a mix of solid guys to round out the top part of the 7-man rotation. I think that's going to be realistic with this roster needing to be pretty much fully rebuilt.

A weaker non-con would give that 7-man rotation enough time to gel before conference play, as well as giving some of the guys 8th man and deeper some minutes to develop and show some flashes. With a rebuilt roster, going more than 8-deep is going to be a big ask against more talented opponents. That's going to have to be developed.
