Last year FSPOO who everyone has been drooling over had 10 wins and finished with the #20 HS class. This year with rumors of them handing out above market NIL deals to players like Bolden they’re currently #4. Meanwhile, TCU played for the NC and finished #26 with a current class of #51.

Obviously I expect to perform better than TCU with a good season but 1 good season isn’t the panacea most think. Meanwhile UF, ATM and OU all had really bad season yet recruiting strong.

we won't compete with those blue bloods who throw money around. I think, and this is just my opinion, if we can get to the 8-9 win mark with a bowl game, Mario can do the only thing he has shown that he is really good at.....recruiting.

We gave this guy $80 million cause he can recruit so he should be able to win battles without having to throw the kitchen sink at kids in terms of money. If he can't then we are royally fooked at the end of the day. Because if a recruiter can't win battles without bags we should've just given a lesser name HC a big NIL budget and not overspent on a BAD coach

Agreed lol it should be its own thread. It’s so difficult to follow conversations on this site because threads new news gets dumped into old threads and you never know what conversation is going on in which thread
