Heard he was interested in Miami last year, but we only had room for one meat head alpha around campus so he was in a rough spot proving he was more tough and physical than Mario...

The staff softball game would have been quite the event...

It's just sad, honestly. First losing season since Eisenhower was president, right? And of course JD will get another year. The regionals are one of my favorite events in college sports. I'll still watch, mostly to root against certain teams, but it's just sad.

Heard he was interested in Miami last year, but we only had room for one meat head alpha around campus so he was in a rough spot proving he was more tough and physical than Mario...

Doesn’t matter who is interested. The guys with the money refuse to pay top dollar for a baseball coach who isn’t part of their crew.

The entire “revamp” of the athletic program was nothing more than a power play. They paid top dollar for their guy Mario. They got a top dollar contractor and puppet who is close to retirement in Rad. They already had a cheap replacement when Gino left, that just happened to also be their guy. Win win for them.

I don’t even wanna know what will happen if L retires before football starts winning and those guys see a return on their investment or others start throwing money at the program bc it’s doing well. If that never materializes and L calls it a day, we might end up with a local high school coach. Best case is probably Frank Martin.
