2022 DE Shemar Stewart receives offer

But CIS said guys that diss us and have a mentor never do anything or amount to anything. Now we can put another myth to bed

To be fair, he never really amounted to much in college. He definitely doesn’t have 5-star production. But this is one that will have to go to the Miami curse jury. It’s a tricky case.

You have to fit him in with other studs. He’s not a great pass rusher but if he can seal an edge and get leverage and win those battles he will have a long career

He still hasn't done anything yet. He may do something in the NFL but we will have to see. He's been living off of his measurables (pause).

Eventually he will have to prove he can live up to his hype but there have been a ton of GMs fired for thinking they can take measurables over production.

4.5 sacks in 3 seasons.

Crazy lack of production for a DE. Even one who projects to play in a 3-4.
Low production but his play is what stands out. Shemar was disruptive and played with max effort. He's also a freak of nature so that definitely helps. NFL coaches always believe they can extract the talent out of a prospect. He's going to kill it at the combine

Athletically the freak that he was in HS.

Technically? Raw as ****. No pass rush moves, high pads, poor hand placement... there's nothing there.

If he gets good coaching, look out, but you have to coach that kid from the ground up.

Agree a bit but there has to be something he does well on film if thats a projection by multiple scouts. Maybe it aint sacks and they see something else.

Just from body type/athlete perspective if we had Shemar Stewart, Jeremiah Smith, and Xavier Lucas, all from South Florida, on this 2024 squad, people would be talking about how great of a team Miami looks. Similiar to early 2000s with how we had freaks like Dre, Willis, Taylor(RIP), D.J., etc...

Please tell me you didn’t just put Shemar Stewart in the same category as Sean T and DJ Williams…

Whoever drafts this dude in the first round is setting themselves up to be fired. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Guys with no production in college at DE do not work out

Did Shemar diss us? I don’t think so thought he just picked A&M. Gave us a look when Mario got hired but couldn’t pull him. Unless I’m forgetting something. No ill will towards the kid
