Is this pretty much the opinion of the HS coaches on the board concerning the CB and LB recruiting? At CB, does Rumph not even try to build rapport, even when it’s clearly someone they want? Even if he’s being directed away from a kid by Manny, I’d think you still build bridges.I can attest to this and me and @CoachShad5 as bout as plugged in as can be with KP. Did the same with Ruben Hyppolite last year had other guys higher on the board. But I think they need a ready to play DAY 1 cb. Lets see who that would be coming out of high school. They need a portal/juco kid as well imo
Is it normal for them to only come to one game to scout and for that to be the spring game? I know there’s a lot of schools down here, but it seems like they are kind of wasting the advantage of being in South Florida if so?The only thing i can say with Ruben is ...The 1 game they came to scout.. He didnt really do much in ...but it was SPRING game..and he played MLB going against BTW..who was in 4 or 5 wide all game and throwing the ball alot. There wasnt much plays for him to make.
Anyone with a brain though could watch him play and see that stype of speed though and say ..yea hes a fit in my program. 2 games in at Maryland he is already productive. Knowles will be productive early on wherever he goes as well. He's basically Tecoury Couch with better ball skills to me. (Nots aying Couch doesnt have ball skills) Knowles has 5 catches and 3 tds this year. all in the You Got Mossed variety.
You know our coaches over-analyze recruiting. SMHThe only thing i can say with Ruben is ...The 1 game they came to scout.. That was a game full of prospects with BTW and Mcarthur. Spring is when alot of the evaluation is done and scouts/coaches are able to go out. They come to practices as well.Is it normal for them to only come to one game to scout and for that to be the spring game? Yup. You'll see him tonightYou know our coaches over-analyze recruiting. SMH
Is Knowles still at McArthur?
Obviously this year is a weird one, and maybe my memory is not so great, but I thought our coaches used to divide and conquer across the tri county area on Friday nights to see games? That was a game full of prospects with BTW and Mcarthur. That game was Blake Baker. I think they will show up more when interested in prospects.
They still do not sure about this year thoughObviously this year is a weird one, and maybe my memory is not so great, but I thought our coaches used to divide and conquer across the tri county area on Friday nights to see games?
Last Saturday was one of Miami’s biggest recruiting days of the season so far with a large number of top recruits in attendance. One of those recruits was standout McArthur 2021 DB Kevin Knowles. After talking with Coach Blake Baker, Knowles left the stadium with a Miami offer.
“He was telling me that he loved my playing style and that they’ve been watching me and that they were going to offer me.”
The crowd and the on-field performance against Louisville helped make a strong early impression for Knowles.
“I thought the game was great, I love the unity and juice they had all game. It was live.”
Knowes was offered by Miami on Saturday, but he has already been on campus multiple times.
“It was a great experience and I liked the campus."
Miami isn’t the only school Knowles has visited. He has already seen Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, FAU, and FIU, all schools that have offered him.
“I haven’t been on visits yet but I’ve toured the schools.”
Knowles has a lot of options on the table so a decision will not be easy, but he knows what he is looking for in a school.
“A great family, the best education, and an atmosphere that I could blossom in as a man and athlete.”
Knowles’ high school team has a big second-round playoff game against Atlantic this Friday, one of many stops on their road to try and win the state title.
"Right now, I’m feeling great ready to take on all challenges because its playoffs and I see it as eat or eat more. I know we have a chance to make it. We worked hard for it and we’re up for any challenge."
Yup he just wants to play football. He also doesnt back down..He went up against Alford every day in practice last year and wasnt giving up anything easy. Gonna be a goo dplayer in college...wish it was here. Its Asante Samuel all over again Dont want to play against him at FSU. lolKnowles reminds me of Couch in terms of competitiveness.
