2020 Schedule

You would be okay with playing five of the last six series (excluding finals week) on the road?

This should be an elite team. Playing on the road will probably hurt us in regard to post-season seeding because we will lose a few games that we would not lose at home, but it will make them an even more formidable team by season's end.

I think we should be at home 3 of the 1st 4 weeks, with the road game being a Southern team like GT, FSU, or a Carolina school. Then they should have us on the road 3 of the last 4 ACC series (with the BCC or whatever series it'd only be 3 of the last 5 weeks on the road).

Schedule is out

Notables:
- 36 Home games
- 55 games total
- Typical even year home and home with UCF, rare appearance by USF at the Light
-Conference play opens with Pitt at home, ends with GT on the road
-Louisville series is April 17-19
-Trip to South Bend in early April (Clemson gets the honor of a late March trip to the frigid north)
-Towson and Princeton are the other nonconference weekend series
-Weirdly a prescheduled doubleheader against Pitt on March 7 (1pm and 7pm). Men’s Basketball is also home against Syracuse at either 2pm or 4pm the same day. We’ll see if that turns out to be an error.

The DH is weird - it's tough to win a DH vs any opponent. And there's already the chance for one or two during a normal year due to spring weather. Maybe Pitt has to be back for some reason?

It was. They’ve corrected Pitt to a normal Fri-Sun series.

No game the week between Rutgers and UF seems strange. I wonder if someone backed out because there are only 55 games listed and you're allowed 56.

Really this is a pretty comparable schedule to last year, with Princeton and Towson being slightly higher in the RPI than UMBC and BCU. If FSU and UF have better seasons it should be a top-20 SOS, mainly thanks to drawing FSU, Louisville, and Clemson from the Atlantic.

Looks like you were correct. A midweek game has been added on 2/19 against Kent State.

The midweek game against USF has now been moved to 3pm as well. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say actual attendance will be in the hundreds at best.

We will need to come out of the blocks quick given the high expectations and 14 of first 15 games at home. I sure hope this year's team lives up to the hype.

ACCN just happens to have a 3pm live baseball game scheduled on the same day so....

Looking at time changes around the league, it appears ACCN will be airing at least 4-5 baseball games per week once basketball is out of the way. That’s a big leap from single digit totals of ACC national broadcasts the last few years.

ESPN has every game in February listed as airing on ACCNX except the USF game which appears almost certain to air on ACCN.

ESPN has released their national schedule. 15 total broadcasts: 14 games will air on ACCN, with the Friday game against FSU airing on ESPNU for those without ACCN. The headscratcher is that only the Friday game against Louisville will air on national television.

Additionally, it appears from Virginia Tech’s schedule that the final two games of that series will air on the RSNs (eg Fox Sports Florida or Sun).

So where will the other games be? watch espn?

ESPN app for virtually all the remaining games as in years past, but with the added requirement that you sign in with an ACCN subscription.

The UCF road game will be free on Twitch, the FGCU road game free on YouTube, and the FIU/FAU road games on CUSA’s pay platform.

My understanding is you are out of luck unless you are able to sign-in with a TV content provider who carries the ACCN.

Yep. Getting Hulu/Youtube TV for 3 months then cancelling might be the only option for some people
