2020 recruiting class

The way the recruiting game is (bags) and the way the ranking system works (bias/subscriptions) we’ll never be consistently in the top 5 classes.

If we are landing in the top 12 wvery year we’ll be contenders.

Honestly don't see the UF game as having any impact on recruiting. It's too early in the process for it to have a long lasting impact. I'd much rather have a good year.
Obviously the sky won’t fall if we lose to UF, but to Miami have any chance to be on the national conversation during 2019, like in 2017, we need to beat UF.

Our schedule is a ******* disgrace, if we lose to UF we could go 10-1 to the ACCCG without being even mentioned as a player on the CFP hunt. 11-2 with a NY6 bowl victory would be great for Manny’s first year, but it wouldn’t put UM in a great place with the top recruits imo.

If we can go 11-0 to the ACCCG we would probably be in the top 6 fighting for a playoff spot with the country buzzing around us again. Couple that with, let’s be honest, a close loss to Clemson on the ACCCG not only we would still have a shot on the CFP, even if we don’t, win the NY6 bowl and we would definitely be the top dog in FL and fight with OHST, UMich, UGA, LSU and maybe Bama for the top prospects.

We won't be ranked outside of the top 25. We had a top 25 team talent wise but were held back by QB and OC. We have addressed those two areas and even if Tate doesn't get his waiver, I feel much more confident with Enos coaching JW and Kosi than I did with Richt Jr.
The only reason for us be ranked at all would be to sell the game against UF as a clash of top 25 teams, we don’t deserve to be ranked top 20, based on the actual quality of play, since the ND game

The UF game if we win...won't matter. Just look at us beating FSU 2 years in a row, did that help recruiting? If we lose to UF.....will hurt recruiting.....period.

If we were to beat both FSU and UF this year.....this still may not help recruiting for 2020 class. JMHO!!

ill be surprised if we’re in the top 25.

I feel like we haven’t really been going head to head vs FSU for recruits recently . With that being said you’re right but that ties back to Miami always being held to a diffrrent standard .

The game against UF is in talks of being slotted as a national prime time game, 8:00pm and all, MANY big time SFL recruits will be an attendance and on visits, it will be against a preseason ranked opponent, if FSU has a terrible year (as they should) expect many big time in-state & out of state recruiting battles to be against UF
(Fred Davis, Carson Beck) for example, Miami’s biggest advantage in recruiting will be to win games, preferably 10+ games, and if it starts with UF while also being Manny Diaz first game, expect a roll of momentum and crystal balls.

We really don't want to play this game of looking at how highly we are ranked so far from signing day. We are going to drop, I know it, you know, everyone else knows it. Just setting yourself up for disappointment man.

Beating UF out of the gate should lead to a very good year.

Bleacher Report has us ranked as pre-season 22 after NSD. Obviously, things will change, but just stating we should be around that number. I also HATE pre-season polls.

Agree those are the top needs

Bump de back up if either Phillips or C.williams aren’t in. And the db class is gonna be too strong not to get greedy
True. Patchan, Hill, possibly Williams, and Garvin won’t be around for 2020 so gotta reload there.
