2020 ATH Xavier Restrepo offered

You're my dude; you own a GREAT site. But this take was horrible lol
Because he said he likes him better as a safety? If I say I like Travis Hunter better as a WR and he ends up being a HOF corner, is that horrible take? No, actually your take is the horrible one.

Yes it’s a bad eval lol. If player A is evaluated as a safety and ends up being the greatest statistical WR in team history….its a bad original evaluation.

I had no idea he viewed himself as a Safety. I’d put him out there right now. Even dead tired, he’s a net positive. I’ve never seen anything like what we’re watching.
I mentioned it in a thread before… the first time I heard of/saw him came from me randomly watching a HS game on tv one day. He was playing for Deerfield Beach. He was an in the box Safety (in an addition to playing WR). It was one game but if I had to describe how he played think Troy Polomalu. I’m sure that’ll get eye rolls and people will think I’m FOS, lol. But seriously when we started recruiting him I thought he was going to end up being a DB all day. He super physical and had a knack for finding the ball

STA likely has 2-3 safeties better than him.

That team is stacked ...especially in the secondary..kids are transferring there to be 2nd stringers...Blade sJr was a rotation guy for two years...and he is a um signee lol.

I'm waiting for um to offer Jordan Battle if they haven't already.

Down the road though this kid will be legit
check the bolded.

I also thought Asante Samuel was better than AL jR. I liked Al Jr as a prospect though an thought he would be a solid player.

I remember he gave Jayden Hill THE BUSINESS at Florida’s FNL. My gawd time flies. Salute to him, he’s earned all the accolades he’s gotten

Regardless of position you put your name on the line with this kid and said he was going to be a dog wherever he goes. So I wouldn’t beat myself up about it.
I'm not stepping away from my assessment though. (minus the thing about his mom, I'm friends with them now lol)

I do still feel like he could've been an elite Safety.

Even on the CIS podcast the other day he said he's better at defense just a big fan of playing offense

Perhaps my greatest take.
