We recruit guards really well, but our whiff rate on bigs is just absurd. Can't we at least sign a 3 star project out of high school? At least a Jekeri/Izundu type?

They took awhile but both panned out pretty darn well for "projects." Does the staff ever travel to Nigeria to recruit? Given our recruiting issues, might be well worth it.

I'm not sure. I believe Izundu played high school ball in Charlotte.

That sounds like a good idea. Just realize this, Rodney Miller and Nysier Brooks were 3 star big men coming out of high school.

And Jekiri prepped at Champagnat in Miami. I wasn't saying Jekiri or Izundu were recruited out of Nigeria. Just that Nigeria and "big" men are synonymous. Sorta like recruiting the DR for baseball.

It's an example of this staff's pure negligence. There's not a single big man projected on next year's roster and we don't even reach out to one of the top JUCO centers. They ***** about the FBI, now they ***** about injuries, but they don't even try to fill out the **** roster. It's self inflicted at this point.

For the record, I agree with you. This is why I don't like Walker playing the 5. It is completely unnecessary. All of the available bigs are not gone. The effort in recruiting is what is in question.
