Except for Sam Howell, Mellusi & Nayquan we recruited everybody on his list.
Well, I mean yeah, we recruited all these guys. But I'm just more trying to figure out why we have to exaggerate numbers when it's already obliviously terrible. We missed on all but 4 of our top targets. But that number is closer to about 4 out of 10...
Running backs for example....our top targets were Crowley and Trey Sanders. The rest of the guys were just replacements for whiffing on the two, while MAR has been recruited as an athlete who will only play RB if we don't take another this cycle (from what I gather).
QB as you said, Howell wasn't our top target. It was moreso an attempt to take away from FSU..Miami isn't really scrambling that much for a QB right now (like you see us doing with RB).
WR's we wanted 1 entering the cycle, everyone else was just icing on the cake. We got our top target in Payton. (Dunmore reached out to us..) We're much more receptive to getting another WR after the poor performance and exit by JT4. But I doubt we see any other WRs (that aren't elite) being recruited if Dunmore/Haselwood don't come. Which means that a 2nd WR is (in the staff's eyes) a luxury not a priority.
OP also tries to downplay Larry Hodges, saying he wasn't recruited by top programs. Despite the fact that Texas, Oklahoma, and LSU all offered and recruited him AFTER he was already committed to us. Wydermeyer's a plan B to Zipperer. So calling him a top target is also a reach.
0 for 7 on OL? Really? Counting 2 guys we offered in December because we have 0 is a top target now?
We missed on a lot, but no need to over exaggerate to create more **** to cry about is all I'm saying.
