2019 - Year of Recruiting Shambles - Defense

focus on who []__[] get come Wednesday. All we need is the OL and QB positions to improve because I know the defense will play with a chip next season.

DEFENSE isn't as bad, but you can see the same trends -

DE - 2 for 4, maybe 4 for 4. Not many complaints besides waiting to go after Isaac

1. Khris Bogle: ALA/Miami - Bags/winning
2. Lloyd Summerall: UF/Miami
3. Jahfari Harvey: Miami
4. Cam Williams: Miami
5. Kevin Harris: ALA - Bags/winning on the field
6. Adisa Isaac: PSU - Stupidly didn't recruit until the 11th hour
7. King Mwikuta: ALA - Bags/winning on the field
8. JJ Weaver: UK

DT - Let's call it 1 for 6 out of our top targets. I'll give Simpson a pass since its his first year, but we lost a lot of recruiting battles (Holley/Munoz I wouldn't consider battles)

1. Tyler Davis: CLEM - Bags/winning
2. Braylen Ingraham: ALA - Bags/winning
3. Jason Blissett: Miami
4. Justin Eboigbe: ALAM - Bags/Winning
5. Quashon Fuller: FSU
6. Derick Hunter: TXAM/FSU/UF - Bags/Toyed with the staff all year
7. Jared Harrison-Hunte - PSU
8. Jason Munoz: Miami - Not heavily recruited by top programs
9. Jalar Holley: Miami - Not heavily recruited by top programs
10. Jaquaze Sorrells: USCe/ORE - good enough for Muschamp's D but not Miami
11. Malcolm Ray: FSU - good enough for them but not Miami

LB - 2 for 3

1. Avery Huff: Miami
2. Sam Brooks: Miami
3. Anthony Solomon: MICH - dogged us in the 11th hour
4. Ge'Mon Eafod: ORE - good enough for them but not for Miami
5. Jahmar Brown: USCe - good enough for Muschamp's D but not Miami
6. James Gordon: MINN - waited until the 11th hour to recruit
7. Octavious Brothers: waited until the 11th hour to recruit

CB – potentially 1 for 5. Rumph really sucks at recruiting

1. Akeem Dent: FSU/ALA - chased this kid all year when we have no shot
2. Kaiir Elam: UGA/UF - waiting until the 11th hour to turn up the heat
3. Jarvis Brownlee: FSU/UCF – Kid used us as a place holder all year, and we stupidly put all our eggs in his basket
4. Te’Cory Couch: Miami
5. John Dixon: USCe – Stupidly didn’t recruit until the 11th hour
6. Damarius Good: WTF – Rumph can’t recruit

S – 1 for 4, maybe 2 for 4. Banda still promoted to DC lol

1. Tyrique Stevenson: UGA/Miami – Bags/Winning on the field if we lose to UGa
2. Jordan Battle: ALA/OSU – Winning on the field/we stupidly didn’t recruit right away
3. Cornelius Nunn: SYR – lost recruiting battle to SYR lol
4. Keontra Smith: Miami
5. Martin Emerson: MSST/Miami
6. Brandan Gant: FSU – good enough for FSU but not for us
Another crybaby porster.. but it's Nvahoes shan't complain.. Keep it up OP...

I am sure Tyrique thinks that Patke and Banda are some of the best coaches around. They are clearly defensive masterminds.

Banda recruits well and did a great job with Redwine. Patke has done wonders with Romeo and is a respected tactician. They are both young approachable dudes, that teach the game well and coach with energy. I see kids playing hard for them.

??? Great job with knowles???
I don’t even want to think you’re serious

Landing Stevenson would save the S class

CB class is a mess

Really like Brooks and Huff at LB

DT is OK - could’ve used another stud

DE is good, can be great if we land Bogle and/or Summerall

I don't like to speak too negatively about players but I was not impressed at all with Patchan this year. A lot of offseason hype and I really didn't see him make plays when he was on the field.
Tbh there were a lot of players hyped up in the offseason, biggest let down was cager for me

Question, has any program not under ncaa investigation or without a HC, ever, ever, ever, had this many decommittments? I wonder if SMU loss this many when they got the death penalty.

The defense has 10 commitments and is the strength of the team.
We focused on offense last year, it’s just recruiting based on need.

BUMP

Defense isn't as bad but we lost a few big Battles (Ingraham, Nunn/Battle, Brownlee) and potentially lose on our top 2 targets (Stevenson, Bogle)

This is in a year when we had the #2 defense in the country. Can only blame Richt and his ****** offense for making this team 7-5 this year
