At the college level, you have to be able to coach AND recruit. Rumph is absolutely abysmal at doing the latter.

It makes it so much harder to handle this after Morris took Miami’s program into retirement with him. Losing in my opinion the second best record in college sports behind our home win streak. Now we gotta watch FSU break it. I relied on baseball and a glimpse into L’s mini success he’s had when football was down. Then the other two are down and we had football last year.

Now it’s just a **** show in the entire athletic department. I honestly don’t know how Blake James hasn’t been fired yet.

This is honestly the biggest recruiting disaster of a class I have ever seen since I started following this stuff. It is worse than Golden and Randy if that is even possible.

James is easily one of the best in the biz. Commands the respect of all the coaches at the school. A true leader and pioneer.

By all accounts, it looks like Banda's supposed to be doing the recruiting and Rumph's doing the development of the secondary. Rumph's doing his part, Banda's not doing his.

Also, it's amazing that recruiting in general is so poor. We've always had questionable depth on the d-line and this will be the case in year 4 as I don't see Bogle coming here and we're not in line for any other kids really at DE. We're bringing in Harvey whom I think is going to be elite. Cam Williams has question marks on if he'll even qualify at this juncture. Joe Jackson's likely going pro, so that leaves us Patchan, Rosseau and Garvin us our returning DEs. That's not in anyway okay.

Derr.....we have to promote Banda and Patke to keep stability with recruiting and keep the same system that put the #2 defense together.....derrrrrrrr!!!!!

I don't like to speak too negatively about players but I was not impressed at all with Patchan this year. A lot of offseason hype and I really didn't see him make plays when he was on the field.

I don’t understand not going after gant, and I would put Nunn under the category of needs to get out of the state period, there’s a reason his parents didn’t want him staying. The post is pretty much spot on for the most part. A lot of guys we should get but won’t because we simply didn’t recruit them until December. Staff needs to recruit all of them as if they’re plan a. Load up the class then replace as you get closer to signing day making room for who you want And some guys have a spot regardless like Stevenson etc if they want in.
