2019 LB Octavius Brothers (Rockledge)

Miami is in his top 4:

In addition to his athletic ability. I like how his tweet is written, particularly when he refers to himself as a student-athlete.

There’s only so much that can be read into a 3 sentence tweet, but it seems like he has his head on straight.

Hope we land him.

I wonder if he already got the 10k from Ole Miss.
He seemed hesitant attacking the OL, but appeared to be good doing anything else

Brothers looks way better than what he’s ranked on 247. He’s very athletic with long arms and pretty good size

His height 6.2 looks legit. Looks very fluid and already 215ish.. I will take all day long.. Bump this thread until he signs or we go in another direction.

We still need at least 6 more guys. Even if they are depth and special teams to push people

Brothers looks like a much better prospect than Solowoman. If we can swap the two it’s a big upgrade. Odd how you can have a guy like this appear out of the blue when he clearly looks like a better prospect than the guy who was committed.

Explain how it’s racist. A flag.

How isn’t it racist? The flag was rarely flown after the Civil War unless it was to commemorate a Confederate soldier. It really resurfaced during the civil rights era when a bunch of ignorant people started wearing it unrelated to the Civil War (idc, if you’re wearing something and don’t know the historical relevance then that person is ignorant). It symbolized racism and defying efforts for progress. South Carolina for example didn’t start flying the flag at the state’s capitol until 1962. The Dixiecrat party adopted the flag in 1948. There is no rich authentic history of the confederate flag. It was almost non-existent after the war, I mean even Robert E. Lee said to not fly the flag after they lost the war. Man we see the flag flown more than they did concluding the war up until the 20th century. It is what it is, has nothing to do with media. The confederate flag we see isn’t even the original confederate flag it’s like a variation from Robert E. Lee’s army of Northern Virginia battle flag.
