2018 WR Watt wants to hear more from big three

Guys I think you're taking what he said out of context. I simply asked him who he wants to hear from and he listed some schools.
 
From the clips I can find - Austin looks very physical, great hands, and attacks the ball but definitely has concerns with speed and quickness in and out of breaks.

Summer camps should help suss out the pecking order - but I'd rank them Austin, Wiggins, Watt at this point. I'd wait to offer Watt.
 
Kid just said he wished UF, FSU and UM were more interested. Nothing wrong with wanting the big boys to come calling. That said, it's pretty obvious why he's a second tier guy. He's slow.

Not even close to Austin. I get the feeling that a lot of folks haven´t really watched Austins highlights. Very good speed and change of direction (especially for a tall kid), very dangerous in the open field, but he also is great at going up and snatching the ball away from defenders.

Austin didnt play against 1 div 1 player all year. He's good...but people call Watt''s comp suspect...well Austin comp is wayyy below that...probably the worst of the worst in south florida honestly

Doesn't pick his schedule. He does what your suppose to do with it though and that's kill that schedule. I really don't have concerns as he is a kid that does the local camp thing and lines up against the best dbs down here and routinely beats them in one on ones. You name them ...he has beaten the head up.

If he hits the camp circuit and does Paradise camp and shows he can hang with the big boys..he will be on the map instantly. Reality is he is an "evaluation" kid..not an offer asap type kid. People need to see more of him and probably want to see if he is a S or a WR.

With that size (200lbs) and speed (4.6)...I like him at safety personally.

I think Watt's offer list is a pretty accurate reflection of his ability.

And although his competition sucks, as does Austin's, you can clearly see who's more explosive on tape. I'd say the offer lists reflect that as well.

I think our WR recruiting would have to be in a pretty ****ty place to justify us offering him at this point.

Austin's comp is super suspect, for sure, but he makes them look downright stupid every play. It ain't like he's just getting by. He's doing what you'd like to see a superior athlete do at that level.

He was already getting D1 offers as an underclassman at Western and their competition is relatively legit. At the end of the day D1 coaches don't give a **** about that. I never seen a coach come into our office, watch film then ask "Who's he playing against though?"

Point blank, they're looking for athleticism, and they can see it regardless of who the kid's opponent is. You don't need to be playing against Miami Central every week for college coaches to see knee-bend, explosion in/out of breaks, acceleration, etc.
