2018 OL commit loves staff's "SEC mentality"

That comment bothered me at first glance, but what he is trying to say is that the SEC has put a premium on upfront line play and its importance to dominant football play. The SEC *conference* is the big time, most glamorous and best place for an o-line recruit, thats just the current truth.

What he is stressing by "SEC mentality" is style play, which is in the trenches, where any good o-lineman should desire to focus.

The SEC is a conference, he didn't claim a specific team's mentality. As a long-time Canes fan I don't feel attached or loyal to the ACC conference or its sporadic/inconsistent/no identity style of play. The entire football world, especially the SEC, jacked our style of play, so we should just be happy that we have a coach that is bringing it back to its proper place of origin. Scaife will help with the revival.

I'd grayshirt the kid and then force him off the team in 3 years and then be like "SEC mentality!".

Jokes aside, I know it probably wasn't done this year with the freshness of Richt coming from Georgia but I hope the former players that show up at future Paradise Camps really start badmouthing the SEC- especially to any local kids foolishly enamored with its "mystique".
 
Kid is 2018 and as show by his strength lifts has yet to have really engaged in a solid S&C program. When he does look out--300-310.

At the Broward Nike Invite 5 months ago he was measured at a legit 6-3 and 283. He has a short shuttle in a very good 4.83, ran a 5.26--electric 40 and had a vertical of almost 28 inches.
