But maybe we can get this kid to reconsider, as that's a long way from home; and we need him (& his speed)!

I have a feeling Lockette isn't the only reason a kid this talented from the muck is literally commited to a school on the
opposite side of the country, over 3000 miles away.
It's probably academics.

Not necessarily and OSU isn't a bad school. Its not always academics. Kid is going to play in a p5 conference. And unless he is applying to Stanford, Duke, GT, Northwestern, etc. he will be okay with the sliding scale. Pac 12 plays no defense and this kid will literally dominate once he touch the field. And its probably his best offer.
