For you to even mention KP with ST in the same sentence is asinine.

Kenny was a good player. Sean Taylor is a once in a generation type of player at his position. 20 lashes and no soup for you.

CJ Richardson.....one of my most favorite...if not my most favorite 'Cane. That dude could bring the lumber. That '94 defense was no joke.

He has some tightness changing directions, but he's a missile when he's locked in. Good pickup.

Out of curiosity, why is KP your fave?

Just really enjoyed watching him play at Carol City and loved his length he had great ball skills and was on the verge of having a great NFL career before he hurt his knee with the Giants. He and Willie Williams were a terror while at Carol City. I just enjoyed watching him play I also was a very big Earl Little fan as well and he wasn't even a top 5 safety at Miami but I just liked his swagger don't know what else to say.

I think you guys mean Darryl Williams - dude doesn't get enough love On here for the athlete he was. 3rd best athlete as a safety to play here.

As for the Gibson kid, I mostly saw nice instincts, anticipation and big lumber around the box. I don't see the range that I want to see in a safety. Anyone know what his legit speed is?

You literally took the words out of my mouth. It's really difficult not to be excited about the players we are recruiting/getting to commit and just the entire atmosphere around the program. Just look at the caliber of player we are bringing in, Gibson, Henderson etc...That is Miami level talent! They are coming because they know that there is a competent HC at UM and that we are getting back to playing a style of defense that suits our recruiting base!

You just know most of these kids wouldn't have given that **** Guldens the time of day. It feels good. It really does. I almost forgot what it felt like to be a fan of this program and we haven't played a single game yet. I'm not going to sit here and crown the guy at this point but so far he has done exactly what he needed to do. This is just the beginning. If this momentum translates to the field this Fall and it should then we will be able to stack loaded class after loaded class. Sorry for the long rant but I am pumped up! Been a long time coming!

I don't know, I hope we go after higher rated safeties. He seems one dimensional. But, he's young, I'll see how he develops. He's not as good as Jamal Carter coming out.

But Kenny Phillips was the best safety in the nation coming out and was a top 5/10 recruit on every service.
