Are safeties interchangeable in this defense? Or does the FS have a more traditional role and the SS is the "thumper"

A few players have stated recently and this kid in this article too, THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE SHAWN DAVIS TO COMMIT. Meaning this is with the coaches approval and desire, I realistically assume. Yet some recruitniks here question if he's a take? WTF man! The staff want him and Carter. Why create your own scenarios like you got a say?

It just appears we don't need Davis at this point, and he isn't a must get. Sure if he would have committed earlier he would be a take but we got our guys. Bandy, Henderson and Edwards are being looked at as CBs according to Pete and others. We have Gibson at safety already and are still looking at Carter. The only people we would make an exception for at this point would be if we could flip either Wright or ***an.

Yes you take Davis.. he is a great press corner... plus.. u take him you can let Deejay Dallas play WR..thats it

I'm not the least bit convinced that Davis is a better CB prospect than Dallas. OK fine let's say we take Davis. Let them compete at CB

Didn't Pete also recently say that Deejay Dallas is coming in as a CB?

Our depth is really bad. Have to refill the cupboard, and "next class" is irrelevant.

At the momemt he is.... Dallas is better suited with the ball in his hands, so stick him at WR,PR,KR but i wont rule out him being a good corner in the future

physical kid, long frame, great ball skills, he's going to be a beast in Manny Diaz's defense
 
I've been saying this for the longest...anybody who has any expectation of Gibson being dropped has been looking at his ratings and saying "he doesn't belong".

Same people questioning if we really want Gibson are the same people that thinks FSU dropped Bradley Jennings because he wasn't good enough, and complain about accepting his commitment.
