2017 S. Fl WR Crop

With Coley and Lewis being Seniors we should look to take 4-5 WRs again next year. Here are some early targets:

Emmanuel Greene - good friends with Bruce and supposedly almost committed when Golden was here. Should be a Cane
Jerry Jeudy - early Bama lean, close with Ridley and SBB
Kevaughn Dingle - hopefully Dugans is already on him, need to lock down CC
James Robinson - out of Lakeland
Rodney Scott - Southridge

Trevon Grimes - seems like an OSU lock, IMO staff shouldn't waste their time
 
OL and DL are clearly our biggest needs for 2017, but there will only be 7 scholarship WRs on the roster after next season (one of whom being a possible Golden special in Langham) if we end up taking Richards/Bruce/Williams/Mullins. We're going to need 4 more in 2017 to get us back to normal numbers-wise because of how atrociously Golden recruited the position.

OL and DL should get the brunt of the focus, but it's not like WR should be completely neglected on the recruiting board. Not with the low numbers combined with WR being one of the greatest strengths of our recruiting base combined with Richt's first-year bump, which should position us nicely for some top talents.
 
It's a good year for WR's in 2017

James Robinson, Lakeland.
Kids a flat out stud legit 6'3 and has some serious wheels. He's not all that interested in staying in state for College but we'll see. Has Clemson out front early.

Trevon Grimes, STA.
He's talented but also over hyped. He's really from Indiana transferred to STA for better comp and it's worked as he's become highly touted. He's OSU all day.

DJ Matthews, Trinity Christian. (FSU)
Gamebreaker. incredibly elusive, flat out makes defences look stupid. FSU have gotten a good one would love to get after this kid.

Jerry Jeudy, Deerfield.
The best WR down here this cycle in my opinion. Great athlete, can play both ways. He's close with SBB and Ridley, so 'Bama is in on him. But he's closer with Ridleys little Bro who just enrolled at UGA look out for them.

Manny Greene, IMG.
Best slot prospect down here this cycle. Super fluid in and out of his cuts (made famous by destroy SBB in a 7on7 tourney few years back.) Likes UM close with Bruce. i'd expect him to be a 'Cane.

Kemore Gamble, Southridge (Miami)
Kemore is more of a TE then WR. He's a rich mans Michael Irvin JR. He'll play the same role as Irvin JR is intending to do at UM. Very nice prospect

Daquon Green, Tampa (UF)
Nice blend of size and speed, he's close with Mckitty. Kids all UF nice prospect but UM aren't really in the picture.

Rodney Scott, Southridge
My favourite WR prospect down here this year. Reminds me of AR15. 6'2 can run like the wind and is elusive. We lead.

Kevaughn Dingle, Carol City
Doesn't have great top end speed but has great hands and really fits for the ball. UM leads by a mile at the moment.

Clevan Thomas, Flanagan (FSU Legacy)
Thomas is super underrated. He can do it all at 5'10. No real obvious weakness in his game, great all round prospect.

Lavarus Tigner, Deerfield
Long prospect with decent speed. has been killing it at SFE try outs recently he was Committed to UF (or he thought he was) so miscommunication between he and staff.

Anthony White Jr., Hialeah
Some recruiting sites are high on White, me not so much. Decent prospect.

Leroy Henley, Cardinal Gibbons (Terrance Henleys Cousin)
Really nice prospect, good size and speed, he'll be highly recruited.

If we get Jerry Jeudy and Greene or even one of those and another solid one then our WR core (with who we're bringing in now) is going to be top notch


also side note,

247 says baylor offered jeudy as a defensive back lmao. That has to be wrong right?
