He's okay with that being said Miami should have a bunch of targets ahead of him, I'm sure they do...

we aren't even in the conversation for Wade...
Shawn Davis is the top CB on our board.
Brini is a FS to me.
Henderson although being taken at CB has barely played there in high school amazing athlete.
Wilson is coming off an ACL tear looked like a freak physically pre injury, lets see how he recovers.
Burgess is a FS he has said he'll be playing FS at the next level.
Bandy is best DB is SF but size is killing him. Doesn't look like we'll offer.
Roberts is an underrated beast. Oakleef pipeline.

Article on wade today from gator 247
“I’m trying to go to Notre Dame, I’m trying to go to the West coast with USC, UCLA and Stanford. VT, I’m going to go up there. A couple other visits like Florida State and Miami.”

He is an athlete

This is from the 247 site from a poster stoutbeast who posted on the Oxbridge people many months ago--I will cut and paste I hope this is OK...he has many insights way in advance of other sites I have seen...I heard he was a former college or NFL scout or talent evaluator that just does this for fun after he retired.

Stoutbeast--Dec 22, 7:11 PM Premium Post

I share this with another poster some time back. I have posted on some individuals over the last 2 years plus.......they are getting big men now in the OL/DL which was absent in years past.....Talent here is great for the foreseeable future--

Saunders and one other player have already transferred to Dwyer don't be surprised if a couple more do also. Was told they are trying to get a few more kids.

Some of them yeah. Just something about him I really like that I can't put a finger on. We will be lucky to pull half that list so he's definitely a take for me. Tackling is incredible, naturally puts himself in great position and seems like a natural CB-very big deal to me, a large percentage of college CBs don't play it much in HS so he will be game ready much sooner due to experience and the ability is definitely there. Tackling would be a great asset on special teams, particularly on punt team.

He's straight but IMO too early of a take with the big fish still out there

Leonard is a take all day everyday and I don't care who else is still out there. It is clear to me in watching his film that this kid IS a big fish. Leonard is one of those kid's that just has a natural and seemingly innate ability to play the position and that is in addition to possessing the physical tools. The only reason that Leonard doesn't have 4 or 5 stars next to his name and a Bama offer is that he hasn't been evaluated yet and you better believe that when he does get evaluated that his stock will go through the roof.

No offense but your suggestion of slow playing him is laughable. He's not going to under the radar for very long. We need to make our intentions clear and the sooner the better. All that and the fact that we are not exactly in the position to drag our feet and slow play a local CB that is 6'1" and plays the position like he was born to.

Why keep pushing for commitments in February when we have a whole year left. Don't rush to fill the recruiting class some kids don't progress over the offseason and senior season like you would expect. I don't want Miami to keep taking kids and having to drop them later due to better prospects wanting in the class later. We already have too many committed right now as it is

That seems like a fair position to take. I still think Leonard is going to be the goods. We'll see.
