2017 Official Roster / Depth by seniority

Why does it seem like guys like O'Donnell and Moore were here for 12 years and a guy like Grace, who feels like he got here 3 weeks ago, is already a senior?

I swear I can't believe Moore still has eligibility left, kid must have been redshirted 3x or something.
 
Lord, that's a small Senior class. Obviously there will be some attrition, and maybe a guy or two leaves early for the draft (maybe Kaaya, AQM, Chad Thomas), but next year isn't likely to be a huge signing class. Looks like we would have 17 slots for 2017 not counting attrition.

Yet they will take a full class. 17 + 5 attrition + 5 EEs = 27
 
It can't be 27 without 10 players being either let go, or declaring for draft. It's a Max of 85 scholarship players regardless of EE's.

Jaquan Johnson isn't a senior either.

Total roster HAS to be at 85. In any individual class you can sign 25 players plus the 5 early entries, but you have to be under the limit of 85 total scholarship players as well.

From what i've seen in the past medical redshirts are usually only applied for towards the end of one's eligibility....i'm assuming it's to limit the amount of request to those who are actually going to use the 5th year. Otherwise the NCAA would have exponential more request to deal with.
