We've done this thread the last couple years during the season. Since we're on the verge of what should be our strongest recruiting class since 2008 in Richt's first full year at the helm, this thread will updated during the offseason as more targets are offered and recruits take part in camps in the spring.

Let's start with 2017 RB commit Robert Burns (5'11", 210 pounds), a high school teammate of three players at Gulliver that just signed with Miami yesterday: DE Joe Jackson, WR Dionte Mullins, and S Cedrick Wright.

Burns, who has already been named as a 2017 Under Armour All-American, is an athletic freak who posted a 118.26 SPARQ score as a high school sophomore in 2014 and bested that number last spring with a 122.91. He's coming off an injury-plagued junior season that unfortunately didn't dispel concerns about his durability. But he's a back with great size, elite athleticism, and enormous potential.

After taking only one RB in each of the last two classes, we'll likely be looking to add two in 2017. Burns must be one of them, IMO, and there's no excuse to lose him considering the presence of Baez and three of his close friends (Jackson/Mullins/Wright) at Miami. Hanging onto his commitment should be a top priority.

Here are Burns' sophomore highlights, which I'm posting instead of his junior clips because he was greatly limited due to injury last season. His junior highlight tape is less than a minute long as a result of his unfortunate injury issues.

With cornerback being our most pressing need after an utterly abysmal three-year stretch of recruiting at the position, here are some currently uncommitted local CBs that are potential targets:

Southridge's Shawn Davis - Shawn Davis, Miami Southridge, Cornerback
Highlights: Highlights - Shawn Davis highlights - Hudl

American Heritage's Marco Wilson - Marco Wilson, American Heritage, Cornerback
Sophomore highlights (didn't play as a junior due to injury): Sophomore Highlight - Marco Wilson highlights - Hudl

Columbus' Christopher Henderson - Christopher Henderson, Columbus, Athlete

Steed and Dunning are going to blow up I think. They both have good tape. If we land Wilder on top of the three we have, we may have the best LB haul in back to back years in a decade

This should be another recruiting cycle in which we won't have to leave the state to address LB. Exceptions can always be made if truly elite out-of-state targets want to join the class and not play games, but there's plenty of top-end talent at the position once again locally.

Current commits
Dunning
Steed
Kearney

Possible targets
Dylan Moses (IMG Academy, No. 1-ranked recruit in the 2017 class)
De'Andre Wilder (Carol City)
VanDarius Cowan (Palm Beach Gardens)
Nadarius F agan (Southridge)

IIRC, the fathers of both Steed and Wilder post on this board. Steed missed all of last season with a shoulder injury, so hopefully his recovery is going well. Wilder is an animal coming off a 14-sack season who already has offers from Miami, Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Florida. Cowan decommitted from Florida State in October, but recommitted to FSU two months later. F agan, who has offers from Alabama and LSU, is one of many top talents coming out of Southridge this season. He doesn't have a Miami offer yet.

I wonder if we keep Kemore Gamble. He looks like more of a Tight End prospect, and with our numbers there I'm not sure we take one unless he's an elite level guy.

I think we keep him, Dobard is a senior, Washington could be someone shown the door, Njoku will go pro in either of the next two seasons
