IIRC: Newton was 60thish, Rion Brown 90th, Lawerence around 100 this year, Miller 100 this cycle.

I'm dating myself, and I don't think there were great ranking systems back in the day, but Tim James was freaky good. That guy set all types of records at Miami NW and was 3rd team All America, I think. Wanted to show some love for the old timers.

I seriously doubt it...while unreal for us, a 5 star + a couple 4 stars for quite a number of programs may not be expected, but is not that rare. (Not including KY, UNC, Duke, Kansas, etc obviously)

Was DeQuan Jones ranked pretty high?

Ended up the #23 rated player in the '08 class and 5 stars. His ranking shot up late in the process, which typically ends up being a mixed bag depending on the player. I like to look at offer lists and his choice weren't exactly "elite"

I think he's a 3 but you can obviously play him at the 4 in college.

I'll say this though. FSU LOVES LENGTH!!!!! I imagine they are gonna play him at the 3. That roster is full of towers
