He was working behind the 8- ball off jump. Not to many head coaches would have been successful navigating the N. Shapiro fiasco. But ultimately, his refusal to get rid of his defensive coordinator cost him his job

Yup, his wefense cost him! He had an eye for talent for sure. Even with “the cloud”. He had no choice but to evaluate lower rated kids at the beginning and many of them hit.
