2016 Class: 20 commits so far...

For those who want to get their hopes up about #SWAG16 before the largest wave of inevitable decommitments in the history of college football...

Golden said during his NSD presser that we could take 5 WRs and 2 RBs in 2016, adjusting the numbers following late decommitments from Chatman and Scarlett to go along with their failure to land Callaway. So now they've already lied to Rasul when they said he'd be the only back in his class, but it's not like we have any chance of hanging onto him anyway.

To be fair, when we promised him he'd be the only back in the class he thought we were signing at least 3 this year. Now he can come in expecting immediate playing time, and an early shot at being the featured guy. But like you said, it isn't like we have any chance of hanging onto him anyway.

Five programs currently ranked in the Top10 of the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings in 2016 signed Top10 classes this past Wednesday in Florida State (currently No. 4), Ohio State (No. 5), Clemson (No. 6), Tennessee (No. 8) and LSU (No. 9).

Schools like Miami and TCU on the other hand will aim to finish as strong as they’ve started.

The Hurricanes are currently sitting on the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the country, after finishing No. 26 in 2015. A lot of that has to do with the 13 commits Al Golden and his staff already have in the boat, including three ranked inside the 247Sports Top100 in receiver Sam Bruce, receiver Dionte Mullins and Shaquille Quarterman.

Whoever wrote that is an idiot. Of course a lot of it has to do with the current commitments. They don't rank classes on who you might get to commit.

"Scarlett is coming. If Walton stays in the '16 class then I think we can keep Williams, Cronkite, and Scarlett with Williams being an athlete playing reciever and running back. Cronkite only wants two running backs in this class so it's important that Walton maybe stays in his class. Williams seems to be on board with the athlete role."

This is in the OP for 2016? ^^^

Not changing it

:umuni:

Besides, this thread is supposed to be a snapshot of everyone's feelings as the recruiting cycle goes along.

At this point I'm considering to changing this thread to a list of who ISN'T committed in 2016.

This question isn't meant to be inflammatory. Merely looking to get some predictions.

Will we break last year's record of 15 decommitments in a single recruiting class with #SWAG16? Yes or no? Keep in mind that we already have 2 (Chauncey Gardner & Dredrick Snelson) and likely have another waiting in the wings eventually (Amir Rasul).

If we stick to the process, resist the temptation to freelance, and finish strong, we can break 2015's decommitment record. #unraveled

yeah no idea how so many recruits are committed at this point.

credit goes to staff for jumping them early. now, can they close the deal?

If someone decommits but recommits later on does it count as a decommitment?

2016 will finish in the top 10. Miami isn't going 6-7 two years in a row. But, we need a 5-star player to cap this class off.
