Bottom line - Lane, Dixon, Rudolph, Holmes, Brady, .... and at least 3 other SoFla kids will pop up, with maybe a national guy who likes us.... we should land the #1 WR class in the nation next year. 3-4 studs.

I feel like we were saying this about DT this past cycle.

That's true. We shoudl've landed a top 10 DT class this year. We missed. Could happen at WR next year too, but I doubt it. Part of the problem is that big war daddy DTs are pretty rare (especially ones who have grades and aren't clown shoes), while bad *** WRs grow on trees in SoFla.

mccray going clemson or fsu. dont even bother with him. lane, brady, dixon, rudolph, and get 3 if not a sleeper

I see a lot of people here dont know whats going on. Dixon was a Gator lock until Jacoby left. That is now 3 Dwyer offensive players that have left the program Gerald Christian Robert Clark & Jacoby Brissett. Dixon is not a lock for Florida now.

Good insight. This might break the UF/Dwyer stranglehold. Even if the coach still pushes, kids see this stuff.

He really doesnt push kids to Florida. Jacoby went to Florida because of Matt Elam. What about kids like HA HA who went to Alabama? He has already said he might tell kids not to go to Florida because of the 3 offensive transfers.

Good points. I'm still tending to stay in the "believe it when I see it" crowd but not saying he is a Gator lock, just saying we don't seem to do well there.

think he has cousin playing on team and grew up a uf fan.

Hopefully he's as much of a Gators fan as Bostwick was a Canes 'fan'.

You ain't lying. I would be happy with Lane and one more from that group.

I work with a guy who has a kid on the team. This man is very active in the Palm Beach County football scene and actually gave me the scoop (which I posted on Grassy a day or 2 before the Palm Beach Post questioned Jack Daniels about it) about Jacoby Brissett, Jack Daniels and Bill Parcells (a close friend of Charlie Weiss) having lunch at the Jupiter Ale House just days before Brissett committed to UF. This guy told me 2 days ago that as of now it seemed like Dixon is "All UM" and talks about us all the time. He also said:

1) Dixon is a good athlete with elite speed.

2) Has so-so hands and would probably be a better cb than wr in his opinion.

3) Dixon does not want to play CB (he has been approached by a few teams about a possible switch to cb)

4) The kid is smart and his grades are more than good enough to go just about anywhere

5) Questioned Dixon's toughness a little bit. Said he doesn't really like going over the middle and was an unwilling tackler when he did play D.

6) Says he thinks Dixon probably faked a hamstring injury last year during a State track meet (I think it was State Finals) in which Kermit Whitfield pulled out ahead of him after a superior start.

7) Says that Dwyer actually has a better (but nowhere near as fast) wr on it's roster (can't remember the kid's name)

8) If I remember the conversation correctly, said that Johnnie Dixon was originally at Cardinal Newman but that, in this man's opinion, Travis Rudolphs studliness probably played a part in Dixon transfering to Dwyer.

9) Has seen both Rudolph and Dixon at a number of 7-on-7 competition's and believes that, technically, Rudolph is the better wr prospect (This guy absolutely LOVES Rudolph).

10) Says Dwyer has a number of very good players on it's roster that will have definite trouble qualifying academically

I'll pass

All truth here. Rudolph IS A better ALL AROUND receiver than Dixon. Dixon was at Cardinal Newman. A few kids transferred because SOME parents felt Coach was putting Rudolph on a pedestal. Clint Stephens is the kid at Dwyer he is referring to. Clint is probably better all around but Dixon has better speed and has that frame High D1s look for as well.

Rudolph and Lane alone make the WR class beastly. Go watch Rudolph's tape if you haven't...he is an absolute stud who will probably be underrated by the Star services. And if Brady's grades aren't an issue...good lord. I know we really like Dixon but if he goes to UiF, there are PLENTY of options left over.

The thought of adding Lane/Rudolph/Brady to Dorsett, Scott, Coley, Lewis, Waters, Lockhart, Carter, etc. is quite frankly terrifying.

Rudolph will probably BLOW up over the camp and combine circuit this summer. Hope he sticks. SEC WILL be coming his way.

Its going to be interesting to see if you the Canes (yeah I am a Gator but a respectful one) can hold on to Rudolph. I think Lane is going to be tough to reel in as well Saban wants him bad.

Saban already after him I heard, but wants him at DB. Steve Walsh should come in extremely handy here.

Rudolph reminds me of Robert Woods at SC almost. Great with the ball in his hands but is an advanced route runner for his age. Haven't really been able to gage if he's a natural pass catcher.

Hope Walsh does. Honestly if Rudolph played at a STA, Dwyer, Northwestern, or Booker T. He'd probably already be a HIGH 4 star. That's why those star rankings are worthless at times. Clint Stephens, Johnny Dixon, Corey Holmes, Aldy Enoicy, Ermon Lane, Lamar Parker, etc... So much talent. Know it's out there but here are some 2015 great ones in Devante Peete, the central kid, and this kid Tavares Martin.
