If a kid doesn't get into Miami, then he doesn't deserve to be here. I'm fairly confident that Al has the pull to get anyone on the margins through. If they are far short, then they would not matriculate at most schools -- it's not a Miami-specific issue.

Then why doesn't this happen to any other school? How many kids in Alabama's recruiting class failed to get in? Florida's? If our admissions is getting in the way of our having the football team we're capable of having, the school shouldn't ***** when the stands are empty during another 8 or 9 win season.

There are a few that are not getting into Alabama this year. UF just doesn't recruit or they drop kids that are not going to get in. Most teams in the country would have let Elijah Daniel visit and commit to their school on NSD. UF told him that he could not because he was not going to get in. UF stopped recruiting Coley when people were saying they lead. A & M wuld not send Griffin a LOI. Some kids are not going to get through the NCAA clearinghouse so it wont be up to UM's admissions.

I'll bite. How many?

you guys realize these stories are mostly written by college students who 90% of the time are reporting wrong stuff. if all these stories were correct then we would have alex collins, bostwick, matthew thomas, and keith bryant in this recruiting class. Who broke the story that we got griffen or elder? no one until carroll tweeted it.

The info in the OP was reported by Chris Stock. Not by the under 21 crew here at CiS.

WTF needs to be worked out with Muhammad? He was getting recruited by Notre Dame. What can possibly be wrong with his clearance?

RiDLer,

I could be wrong but I believe that I read some place that ND was slow playing Muhammad due to questionable grades.

I believe the lack of attention or ND backing off a bit opened the door just enough for Al and crew to seal the deal for UM.

He needed to take physics, a Core requirement for entry into N.D., and Not for Miami. That was the only "question" N.D. had about his grades. If he wanted to attend there, he would have needed to take it online or in summer school. N.D. was truly surprised that he chose The []_[]. He was more than capable of taking physics and having the necessary classes to qualify. I have zero idea of what is holding up his entry into Miami. Hopefully, it's something that's easily worked through. Go Canes

I highly dout a stud like this had grade issues at Don Bosco Prep. It's St. Thomas of the north, kids get passed to be able to play. Heard his ACT and SAT scores more then qualified him. Not sure the hold up

When did swamp land get standards? Are you sure these kids just didn't passed the criminal backround check, as in didn't have any charges for violent crimes.

It's pointless to converse with this tool. He has his lips tightly wrapped around Muskramp's ****. Nothing Muskramp does should be questioned in ISLURPTHISPLACE'S eyes. If a kid doesn't pick UF, oh well UF stopped recruiting him, or he had bad grades, or Muskramp didn't like the way he held a banana. Nevermind that UM is twice as hard to get into academically than UF. Never mind that half the UF roster has wound up on America's Most Wanted. UF is the Harvard and Oxford of the backwoods, ****hole, deliverance downstream waterholes of the world. Who WOULDN'T want to go there to play for Muskramp?

UF doesnt give a **** about letting criminals play football as we have seen. What happen was the new SEC rule where you get 25 spots per class. If a player signs a LOI and doesn't get in they still count on the 25 per rule and that spot cannot be given back the next year. UF just doesnt want to deal with that problem. That being said one JUCO is not getting in because he doesn't have enough credits and another high school player is wait and see. So even with them being cautions they have problems just like other schools.

This is not about UF. I was just saying it happens at every school. It happens less at some schools because they dont take as many risk. If you cant get through the NCAA clearing house there is nothing admissions can do.

forgive my ignorance here, but didn't Kamalu bail on his UM commitment a couple of months ago, and say he was sticking w/ JUCO? Am I thinking of someone else, or did he come back to the fold? thx

The HS kids dont worry me too much because FCAT scores have not been issued yet and most of these kids just finished school two weeks ago so a guy like Coley might just be waiting to make sure Mrs Woods his Senior English Teacher gave him that C- instead of the D. Same with AQM.

Now the JC guys worry me. They should have there **** together by now. Smh.

We absolutely need these guys to qualify.

It will be a HUGE hit to our team if they don't.

With the exception of Lockley and Griffin, I expect all those guys to get some form of PT throughout the season.

Happens every year yet we post like its the first time. We'll know the real deal soon enough Canes.

aqm picked us over nd and bama. he clearly loved miami so they had to make an excuse why he came here. no one comes to miami because they ahve bad grades. they go to fsu and if they cant get in there, then louisville or wvu. if they are really, really a mess, they go to marshall.
