2013 OG/DT Donta Wilkins

With the Juco DT targets appearing to look less likely for UM, Wilkins visit to UM is taking on more importance as the days pass. This kid could make a huge difference from day one, his video reminds me of Vince Wilfork coming out of HS.

Wilfork is one of the best to ever play his position, at every level. This Wilkins kid is obviously a long shot to be THAT, but I would take him in this class in a hot second.

Watch the LG, 3-4 LE, and sometimes NT...this paranos stuff is ridiculous but Wilkins really is a beast doe lol

D. Smith was terrible in his juco highlights also, the kid just took up space and move the pile, which is in essence what you want from your NT in a read and react. The big difference with D. Wilkins is he is moving the pile as he reads on the way make a nasty tackle and that is what you want in an agressive read and react, which is what Coach D started to run later on the year when Porter came back. The key is to someone big enough to hold the point that is strong enough and quick enough to disengage from the block then make a play.

Keep in mind that Wilkins just missed the cut for the Army All-American Game selection and he is an all state and all league two player, now how many linemen have you seen make the All state team for both Offense & Defense in the same year.

He's pretty easy to see. The real huge guy beating the crap out of everyone. Just look for the guy who has the ball, and the other guy who is 2-3 times his size jack hammering his as is Wilkens.

This kid is POWER BOMBING dudes. I think he would be a great pick up. Shows good explosion off the ball and impressive strength, to go along with good speed for such a big guy.
