agree with mostly everything in the write-up except for driskel being more quick than fast (dude is a legit 4.5 dude) and the o-line being bad. consider this, uf had the sec's #3 rushing attack and one of the better ground games in the country with the support of 1600 yards passing...a bad o-line doesn't do that agains the defenses we faced. of the sacks they gave up, i'd say 2/3 were the result of driskel holding the ball, the kid has NO feel for the passing game whatsoever. for example, against A&M he was sacked 7 times and everyone blamed the o-line, then pease came out and said driskel was responsible for 6 of them, the kid usually got a decent amount of time but can't read coverage for ****. stop the run and you beat us.

Agreed. Do you feel Driskel will learn to read coverages? Or will he keep holding the ball too long? Is it true that Muschamp wrote a letter to the NCAA regarding the officials? I heard he was ****ed off that UF was getting all those flags last season.
If UF runs a little bit of pistol that offense might be lethal.

Either way Sept. 7 will be a war. Im flying from Chicago for this one. 50 yard line seats baby!

Dorito better ensure that we have 8 in the box.
I'm surprised most believe we win this game comfortably. Miami MUST score early and often. That seems to be the key. If Miami scores 28+ points we've likely won the game. We need to attack those young safeties that you guys have.

If people think we are winning comfortably, they are either being fantastic homers, or they just drank last seasons memories away.

I'm more of a "it ain't nothing till you show me it, *****" kind of guy and so far Golden hasn't won one of these games yet.

Don't get me wrong. I've got high hopes and we certainly are going to be right in it. I think the team comes out physical and fired up.

But do we have what it takes to make the key plays in the big games? Do the coaches have what it takes? We will see but I'm up in the air at the moment. Its a pick em.

I think people are putting too much stock in the UF vs Louisville game, the losses on D and not understanding there are good replacements. These scores predicting Miami scores over 30 seem a bit much

I think its going to be relatively low scoring. The Louisville game is borderline meaningless IMO. UiF got caught sleeping, if anything that will inspire them to play better.

If Miami creeps up into 30's I think they win by 10 but I think it will be more of a 21-17 type game.

I know we rave about the offense. I would look to see if Miami can gain some consistency on offense and sustain drives. This is one of those games to me that if we win, then we put up 28 points. Anything less than that UF probably wins. It will take a total team effort, offense, defense, special teams.
So I'll stand by my 20-13 score prediction. Low scoring affair unless we get turnovers and STDS! ( Special Teams Touchdowns)

I know UF has some good replacements. It's still going to be a young team. Can they get the mental part down by week two? That's one of the questions I have. If not UF may take that L. If they are ready then Miami will take the L. Good tough game.

I'm on board with you. Both teams are going to be fired up, early season game, early start/blazing heat.....I think points will be a little tougher to come by than some expect.

If we want to win we are going to need some ball control to open up the passing attack.

I'll be ******* floored if Miami scores 30+. If Miami wins this game, the D is gonna have to give up less than 20.

I think it all depends if UF can establish a running game or not.... if they do we could be in for a long, rough night. So so so vital to get an early lead.

Everybody on the UF's defense has played a lot of football besides one safety and the third or 4th CB.

Miami will not score more than two touchdowns in this game, but I think our offense is strong enough to get us into scoring range enough to make it count. I think we win by 10 but we aren't going to run away with this game. IF we win it will be because we controlled their run game and held them to a long field to help us out. If we think we are just going to light up this defense we are disillusion. Honestly, our defense has a lot more to prove in this game than their offense. We must give Driskell and Pease a long field to play on, tackle well and get off the **** field.

I really like how we match up against UF defensively.
What killed us last couple of seasons were teams that spread us out and those that had dual threat QBs like Klein and Golston.
Their OL will not physically impose their will on us like KSU and ND did last year. Key on stopping the run and put the game on Dkriskells arm.
On the road in a hostile environment will cause a couple of picks.

Offensively we should have a balanced attack and should be able to put up 20+.

Early prediction 24 Miami 17 UF

Some how I feel like this game is going to come down to INT-iskel

He is either going to really kill the gators or stuggle to keep them in the game

If Morris and our WR open up with 2 quick scores its over...I can't see that kid
throwing and keeping them in the game he is a running qb that just has not lived up
to the hype.

It will come down to the QBs in this game...both defenses have something to prove

I am going to say 27-20 Driskel tries to bring them back at the end and comes up short

Our D will have improved quite a bit. Not as much as we need but I think enough to win the game. Our O-line will dominate and will be the deciding factor. My early prediction is Canes win in the 4th Qtr. Their offense is slow and won't score enough points to keep up, but their D will keep us in check.

UM 24
Uf 20

I think this will be a close game.
