Jim Morris is not with the Miami baseball team today and is under the care of doctors after falling ill, school announces.

This season showed all of the signs that this should be his last year. He did some great things for the University that no one should ever forget. However, it is time for the University to go a different direction... completely. Clean out the staff (even though I really, really like DiMare) and bring in some fresh blood.

IMO some of the bubble teams doing well will determine Miami's fate if they lose today. VT for example could win it and bump a team like Miami. As much as it would suck Miami can't complain if the streak ends.

I can complain that the team has gone downhill for 5 straight years and Morris put together a D3 offense. We have no business being in the postseason.

He's gotta be stressed with this season. With a young child, he might want to take care of his health

Hindsight is 20-20. It would have been great to see B-Rad against UNC and then let things unfold.

B-Rad is this team's only chance to do anything in the tournament. From there, need hot bats to beat teams when Diaz, Suarez, or Whaley are pitching.

Good effort. :rollcanes:

Like clockwork, there's absolutely no comment when we go up 2-0 in the series against Georgia Tech, but you find time to post when we lose a game.

We won 2 of 3 at home against a team that went 15-15 in the ACC. Should we have crashed the server with celebratory posts from this accomplishment?

Oh, you know your game. Win and you disappear, lose and you show up to be the whiny little ***** that you are.

Beating GT isn't enough to even get you to log in, but losing to a lock of a national seed gets you to bring out the emoticons. The funniest thing is that I have never even seen you talk baseball. That's common for the marginal baseball fan. You're not really sure what is going on beyond the result. Your little circus show is like clockwork.

This is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. VT is a bubble team??????? VT is an absolute lock for the postseason, no matter what they do in the tournament. Nothing VT does will affect our place in the post season. There are websites to help you people along. Problem is, you clowns are too stubborn to actually learn anything.

I think that probably had to do with his rest schedule. He threw last Saturday, so that would have been the shortest rest of the season for him. Probably not a chance they wanted to take for a tournament that is essentially meaningless. And it's not like he was great last week anyway. We did what we had to do.....picked up another win against a top 25 team. That gives us 15 wins against the top 50 and 10 wins against the top 25. There aren't many at-large resumes better than that, despite tcgrad's claim that he can find 34 at-large teams more deserving than Miami.

Apparently comprehension is not your strong suit. Google the phrase "for example".

Your example is wrong, Mensa. That's the whole point. If you're going to use "for example", then use an example that makes sense. Kansas is a good example. Virginia Tech isn't.

Making Regionals will save Morris's job. The only way he goes is if he retires and if he retires he will tell them who will be the new HC, and we all know who that will be.
I feel like the baseball program is going the same direction as the football team did.

Kendall Rogers says that RPI seems to be the overwhelming metric this year, which looks good for us getting a #2 seed and not a #3 seed.
