I mean, ****.

Literally HALF of the two-deep are Freshmen. That is ridiculous! Not a good recipe for a stout defense.

Despite having some very promising talent, we're just entirely too young. Please show me an upperclassmen who's consistently produced. Someone we can count on. Because, uh, I can't find a single one.

We might see incremental improvement over the **** show that was 2011, but I don't expect much. I think most of our gains will be intangible (attitude, leadership, familiarity, etc...). That can go a long way, but I still think we're gonna take some massive hits.


But on the bright side, I'm really encouraged about the 2012 recruiting haul, and 2013 looks to be a great year for SoFla talent. Our defense should be back on track sooner than later. Finally.

I predicted 4 or 5 wins

Only thing dude you predicted we will be a little bit better than last year but in reality we have gotten much much worse

As for next year, if Keith Bryant sticks and is as advertised, and he can go with Earl Moore, Ivery and Briscoe as RS Frosh, we should be in better shape. Especially if we can get on a JUCO or 2. Luther will be a SR and everyone should be stronger with an offseason in UTough.


We all saw how big O'Donnell got over the summer. Those DE's should be ready to contribute too. And maybe a guy like Bostwick, if he comes, is good enough to get some burn. I think McCord will be a beast next year too.


I look at that list and we can obviously see that it's not good for this year, but you can see the plan. Add to it another good class of kids coming in and our D should be fine.


But yeah, bring on the Corch D sucks replies. Blah, blah, blah.


I also think our LB's are going to sick next year. Especially if Matthew Thomas is added to it.


I like that list. Not for this year but for the future. If you can't stomach what you see now then I don't know what to tell you. We can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****. We have to eat all the chicken **** before we can get to the salad. Shannon was the chicken by the way. And he left us a big fat pile to scarf down when he left.

Your setting yourself up for failure if your expecting a freshman DT to come in dominate. One of the few positions in football where its **** near impossible for freshman to come in and dominate. Were talkin 18 year old kid outta highschool going up against 3 and 4 year guys already in a D1 Strength and conditioning program and nutrition program
 
I didn't say he'd dominate. I just want him to come in and contribute some. Our DT's are pathetic. Keith Bryant is, by most accounts, a great talent. Darius Smith is not. He is just a body. I never said anything about dominating. I just want some DT's who won't get pushed around. Then the LB's can go and make plays.
