It's amazing how Haith focused all his effort on Brandon Knight and Fab Melo in this class. I'm not saying that I would have loved to have both of them at UM but they were both 1-2 year players and not really 4 year players that could shape a program. We had 3 guys who were in our backyard who are making huge impacts at top teams this country who didn't even receive interest from us in Tim Hardaway Jr., Will Sheehey, and Khyle Marshall. Imagine those 3 in our lineup swapping out Swoope, Apejiori, and Rion Brown.

Can you blame him though? Knight led UK to the Final 4 and Fab Melo became a pretty good player at Cuse. I'm not saying he was a good coach, but I understand going after those guys.

There's also no guarantee that they'd be as good as they are now under him.

Everything about Haith was cancer. Even after the cancer is removed, there are still lingering effects (depth chart, recruiting and potential sanctions).

His recruiting made no sense, he hardly recruited locally too.

My point exactly. Of course you go after Knight and Melo, Canesbball. My argument is why did we never recruit locally and his plan B was always a guy who was so far from the recruit he was always going full bore for. He'd go all out on an All-American, miss on him and his plan B was always a borderline mid-major recruit.

Haith was in over his head when it comes to going after the top guys like that. You just dont get those 1 and done type stars at Miami. Its a different kind of player you have to recruit here.
