2 important questions I have to ask before the season starts

Yep it was a great board with great people, who mostly got along. 2004 was still pretty good, fell apart the next year.

Our brand new facilities are scheduled to be completed in March. Still no indoor facility...but I don't think there's anywhere to put it. Regardless, we will have the newest and some of the nicest facilities in the conference.
 
Burt is hands down the funniest poster ever. I can't remember how many times he had me in tears. I'm laughing right now just thinking about some of the stuff dude would say.

I have a sneaking suspicion that 'ol Burt has been among us for a while now. I might be completely wrong, but I got theory. And that's all im saying.

It is interesting that you mentioned the Franchise. On canetime there is a thread regarding the old days of grassy, and I mentioned the Franchise being the man back then. I think he started "what have we learned today" threads. Dude certainly knew Cane football and Xs and Os. BTW, where is your boy from back in the day....SpiderCane? Spider was a big advocate of the spread offense (5 wide) during the Coker T days.

what does it take for an athlete to get into UM compared to UF or FSU? Cause its seems like we have had a handful of players not qualify.

I'm not sure what the current requirement is, but I remember upon DS's arrival it was increased. IIRC, FSU's is lower than UM's and I think UF's is either on par with UM's or slightly higher.

PS. Cim, remember all the late night chats on grassy back in 2000? I was going by Orl cane or Orlando Cane back then. It was usually you, myself, spidercane, k9, Dynasty and The Franchise would pop in from time to time. I think we called ourselves the graveyard crew or the night shift or something like that. Good times.

Holy crap that brings back memories. Good times back then when that board was still in its prime. I got old real quick. Was 18 back then (16 when I first started posting)...turned 30 this year.

You got old? lol I will turn 45 this November. I hear you though...time just flies by. Sometimes I wonder how it went by so fast. Didnt you live in Naples back then? Also if I am not mistaken you said you drove a Hyundai Tiburon right? Yeah I know I have a photographic memory. I freak out my childhood friends to this day with the seemingly insignificant and trivial things that I remember lol.

I have a feeling burt is on here as well. COH turned into a disaster as well over the past couple years and he got out shortly after you K9.

As for the facilities, you know we stay gutter. Swasey is the foremost leader in prison fitness science.

In the past the facilities were a big issue but the new Schwartz Center is open as far as the new locker room, player's lounge, coaches locker room, academic center, tutor rooms, state of the art computer lab and auditorium. The training room will be greatly expanded 3 times the current size including in ground hydrotherapy pools and many therapy tables. No longer can the facilities be used against us we're a top 10 percent school with these facilities and the Hecht Athletic Center will get a makeover soon as well.

"The sports medicine facility will be renovated and expanded to more than three-times its current footprint in the existing Hecht Athletic Center. It will feature in-ground hydrotherapy pools, private examination rooms, digital imaging and extensive rehabilitation space for all of UM's student-athletes."

I didn't get to Grassy (Scout for me, I guess) until 2006. You guys make the early 2000's sound so grand on these here Interwebs!
