2 Days Away From Showtime

I think we are better. But so are all the other teams.

But with better coaches.

The JD likely ends and we have a chance to move on from the Miami alums and start fresh.

Hopefully Miami higher ups go to Pollard…

.500 squad across the board - overall and in the ACC
I don't really follow baseball much but it looks like we have been adding a whole lot of new technology to the program over the past couple months. Been seeing a bunch of new announcements. So that seems like a good thing at least

Yep. Got some new systems and things so it’s coming along. We’re one of like 4 or 6 teams in America with the new ground force data and equipment that we have for pitchers.

I desperately want to be wrong. I’ll eat a flock of crows. But for now I’m still sticking with my above prediction.

Then we go get Scott Brown.

That would be an absolute disaster. I don’t think we do that bad, but I’m not as optimistic as Erick either. This does seem like the type of team that can improve quite a bit as the season progresses if we can get production out of nos. 6-9 in the line up, Smith stays healthy, and the middle infield holds up. That said, we gotta have decent pitching.

I'm not trying to be one of those "prove me wrong" donkeys. I'm just beaten down from years and years of watching this team bleed outs and bases via poor baserunning and defense combined with seemingly random approaches at the plate. I think we have some studs at the top, and also Tanner Smith was a sneaky good signing who will prop up the pitching staff, but the talent level across the board just isn't there. I like that we are starting to invest more in tech, but man, the JD hire was a bad process who so far is also getting bad results.

Last year was the worst season since what, JFK was still alive? The question is, was that an "it's always darkest before the dawn" or was it an "it's always darkest just before it goes pitch black"

28-27 is my prediction
