Absolutely. That brief 2020 on offense was a quick sneak preview of what was coming in 2021. Didnt we pitch fantastic at home vs UF that season and got swept?

Yep. Slade was a little medicore on Sunday but the Friday and Saturday pitching in that series outstanding.

I think 2020 not bearing fruit frustrated the 2021 team because the starting pitching was too young to be a real factor. I think purging the roster is an underrated move on Gino’s part. ‘21 team checked out mentally, hence they couldn’t win big games.
